Nigeria Set to Resume International Flight Operations

Nigeria has become the latest country to announce the resumption of international operations following the relocation of COVID-19 travel bans.
According to Nigeria’s Aviation Minister Hadi Sirika, international operations will resume in the country as from 29 August, 2020.
As with the domestic flight resumption, resumption of international flights will begin with Lagos and Abuja airports. Other international airports, including Port Harcourt, Enugu, and Kano, will follow later.
In a tweet, Sirika assured the travelling public that health and safety protocols and procedures for the resumption of international flights would be announced in due course.
It will be recalled that all airports in Nigeria were shut down on 23 March, 2020 following the COVID-19. However, essential international flights have been operating since the closure.
Nigeria resumed domestic flights on 8 July, 2020 with strict health and safety protocols both at the airports and onboard flights.
