Flight Disruptions: Air Peace Apologises, Reaffirms Safety Commitment

Air Peace has apologised to passengers following a series of flight delays and cancellations across parts of its network in recent days, blaming the disruptions on weather, aircraft-related incidents, technical issues and aviation fuel availability.

The airline said the disruptions resulted from several unforeseen circumstances, including a false fire alarm that grounded one aircraft and a bird strike that kept another aircraft out of service for several days.

Adverse weather also resulted in flight diversions, delays and cancellations, while some aircraft underwent mandatory technical checks and maintenance. The airline added that delays in the availability of aviation fuel also affected some operations.

Air Peace acknowledged the inconvenience caused to passengers and said it was working to stabilise its operations and minimise the impact of the disruptions.

While some of the circumstances were beyond its immediate control, the airline stressed that safety would continue to take priority over maintaining its flight schedule.

“Air Peace will never compromise safety in an attempt to keep to a schedule,” the airline said. It added that no aircraft would be released for service until its technical teams had completed the necessary checks and confirmed that it was safe to fly.

According to the airline, circumstances involving adverse weather, technical concerns, bird strikes or other safety-related issues would always take precedence over operational convenience.

Air Peace said it was taking immediate steps to strengthen contingency measures and improve communication and responsiveness when unexpected operational challenges occur.

The airline also apologised specifically to passengers who had been kept waiting, had their journeys disrupted or were forced to rearrange their plans.
