Emirates is enhancing its Premium Economy experience with the launch of the world’s first electrically powered Premium Economy seat featuring a full-height adjustable privacy screen between every seat.

Debuting on newly delivered Airbus A350 aircraft, the new seat combines greater privacy, comfort and personal control.

Installed in the A350 Premium Economy cabin in a 2-3-2 configuration with 28 seats, the electric privacy divider extends to the full height of the seat, a first for Premium Economy cabins worldwide.

The seats are 20 inches wide, with a pitch of up to 39 inches on the A350. They recline into a cradle position without intruding on passengers seated behind.

Greater Privacy and Electric Controls

Customers can raise or lower the privacy divider using the seat controls and lock it into position, creating a more personal space for relaxing, dining or working.

The seat is Emirates’ first fully electrically powered Premium Economy seat, allowing passengers to adjust their seating position using an integrated Passenger Control Unit. Dedicated settings include lounge and meal modes.

Enhanced Comfort

The new seat features the U-Dream headrest by Safran Seats. Crafted in leather, it provides adjustable neck and head support, with wings that can be positioned according to individual preference.

A manually deployable leather footrest provides additional support and helps reduce leg fatigue.

Wireless Charging and 4K Entertainment

Wireless charging is being introduced to Emirates Premium Economy for the first time, alongside USB-C charging at every seat. A tray table with an integrated phone holder allows passengers to conveniently use their devices while dining or watching entertainment.

Passengers can access Emirates’ ice inflight entertainment on a 13.3-inch 4K HDR touchscreen.

Newly delivered A350 aircraft will also feature additional exterior camera views, with left and right perspectives joining the existing forward and downward cameras.

Premium Dining and Wines

The new seat complements Emirates’ existing Premium Economy dining experience, which includes regionally inspired meals served on Royal Doulton china with linen napkins and Robert Welch cutlery.

Passengers can also enjoy a selection of premium beverages, including Chandon Vintage Brut 2021, available exclusively to Emirates Premium Economy customers worldwide.

From September, selected routes will feature Chablis Premier Cru Jean-Marc Brocard 2024 and La Parde de Haut-Bailly 2014.

From October, Wiston Estate Brut NV will become Emirates’ first English sparkling wine, served exclusively in Premium Economy on UK routes. The additions form part of Emirates’ wine programme, in which the airline has invested more than US$1 billion since 2006.

Sustainable Amenity Kits

On long-haul flights, Premium Economy passengers also receive reusable amenity kits developed in partnership with United for Wildlife.

Made with bio-based materials, including cactus leather alternatives, the kits celebrate endangered wildlife across four natural habitats. They also introduce plant-powered Aveda skincare products to Emirates Premium Economy for the first time.

Each kit includes travel essentials such as socks, eyeshades, earplugs and a dental kit, with sustainable materials incorporated throughout.
