ASKY Airlines Postpones Planned Launch of Kano Flights

ASKY Airlines has postponed the planned launch of flights to Kano. No new commencement date has been announced.

According to the airline, the decision was necessitated by resource constraints affecting its ability to commence the service as planned.

The Lomé-based carrier was scheduled to commence services to Kano on 2 September 2026, as part of its continued expansion in the Nigerian market.

However, in an update to passengers and trade partners, ASKY said the launch has now been temporarily postponed.

ASKY stressed that it remains committed to serving Kano and is working to secure the resources and operational capacity required to launch the route successfully.

The airline said its teams are exploring available options to resume the launch process as soon as practicable, adding that further information will be provided in due course.

ASKY had earlier announced Kano as its latest destination, positioning the northern Nigerian city as an important commercial and cultural market within its expanding African network.

The planned service would connect Kano to ASKY's hub in Lomé, providing passengers with onward connections across the airline's network in West and Central Africa and beyond.
