Ethiopian Airlines Increases Lagos Service to Three Daily Flights

Travellers flying out of Lagos will soon have even more options with Ethiopian Airlines, as the carrier prepares to add a third daily flight to the Nigerian commercial capital.

From 1 November 2026, Ethiopian Airlines will increase its Lagos service from twice daily to three flights a day, bringing the total to 21 flights every week. The additional frequency will give passengers more flexibility when travelling through the airline's Addis Ababa hub.

The expansion comes just one year after another increase on the route. In July 2025, Ethiopian Airlines moved from one daily Lagos flight to twice-daily operations.

Adding a third daily service in November represents another significant increase in capacity on one of the airline's key West African routes.

Ethiopian Airlines is no stranger to the Nigerian market. The airline began flying to Nigeria in 1960, building a relationship with the country that now stretches back more than six decades.

Over the years, some of the latest aircraft in its fleet have been deployed to the market, including the Airbus A350 and the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

For passengers travelling beyond Ethiopia, the Lagos service also provides access to Ethiopian Airlines' wider network of more than 150 destinations across Africa and other parts of the world.
