Air Peace to Train NANS Leaders, Slashes Fares for Students
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace, Barr. Allen Onyema has announced a package to train 52 executive members of the National Association Nigerian Students (NANS) in non-violence education.
The training which will take place both in Nigeria and at Emory University in the United States will cost the airline over N300 million.
Onyema broke the news when the Grand Patron of NANS in Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Ubong King and leaders of the students body visited the corporate headquarters of Air Peace in Lagos yesterday.
The Chairman also announced that Air Peace would henceforth fly leaders of NANS and all other categories of students to school on resumption and out of school on vacation for a flat fare of N18,000.
He said the airline was offering a fare much better than the 15 percent discount the students had earlier requested because of its belief in the youths’ capacity to transform the country.
NANS Senate President, Comrade Salam Oyejide who praised Air Peace for distinguishing itself with top-notch flight services, said the airline had a knack for doing things right.
According to him, Air Peace has been endorsed as the official airline of Nigerian students. The rebate, he said, would afford students the opportunity of enjoying the safe flight services of the airline.
