Kenya Airways is going cashless in Mombasa and Kisumu. The airline has announced that, with effect from 1 June 2022, its services at Moi Airport Mombasa and Kisumu Airport will be implemented through a cashless system only.
The Nairobi-based airline announced the introduction of the cashless policy today. However, it didn't state any reasons for this change.
What this means for passengers and customers is that they will no longer be able to pay for Kenya Airways services with physical cash. Payments can only be accepted through debit or credit cards and other online payment apps.
To pay for Kenya Airways services at Moi Airport (Mombasa) and Kisumu airports, passengers and customers can choose from alternative payment options, including Credit/Debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, Union Pay) or M-pesa.

With a modern fleet of 32 aircraft, Kenya Airways flies to 35 domestic and regional destinations as well as 8 intercontinental destinations, including New York, London, Paris, Dubai, Amsterdam, Guangzhou, Mumbai, and Bangkok.
