Air Peace Takes Delivery of 5th Embraer E195-E2 Aircraft


To meet the increasing air travel demand in Nigeria, West Africa's largest airline, Air Peace, has taken delivery of its fifth brand new Embraer 195-E2 aircraft.

Christined Cyril Onyema, the aircraft, with registration number 5N-BYJ, touched down at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos today, 9 December, 2021, following a delivery flight from Embraer facility in Brazil.



According to Air Peace's spokesman, Stanley Olisa, the new aircraft will help the airline meet travel demand this yuletide as well as achieve its no-city-left-behind ambition.

With the 5th brand new Embraer 195-E2 delivered, Air Peace now has 8 more outstanding aircraft from the 13 firm orders it placed with Embraer in 2019.



The remaining 8 E195-E2s will be delivered in 2022, even as the airline plans to exercise its purchase rights for 17 of the same aircraft type after the initial 13 have been delivered.

Air Peace currently flies to 28 destinations, including 20 domestic, 6 regional, and 2 international destinations with a fleet of 33 aircraft, including 5 brand new Embraer 195-E2 jets and 2 Airbus 320s.
