Lufthansa Launches Seven New Destinations For Summer

During this year´s summer Lufthansa will launch seven new destinations in Germany and Europe with weekly flights to Strasbourg and Rostock for the first time, as well as Spain, France, Italy and Croatia.

The summer timetable offers business travellers important connections via Munich to the rest of the world. Holidaymakers can also look forward to attractive new holiday destinations, especially around the Mediterranean.

On April 9, 2019, Lufthansa will begin five-weekly service from Munich to Strasbourg using a Bombardier CRJ900. As the seat of the European Parliament, Strasbourg is an important business destination, but is also interesting for short-term holidaymakers.

Alicante in Spain will see a three-weekly service from Munich from April 12, 2019 using Airbus A320. From April 13, Lufthansa will start flying to Tivat in Montenegro every Saturday using an Airbus A319.

From May 1, the airline will resume flights to Rostock/Laage from Munich with the CRJ900. The flight will be operated twice a day and on every Sunday afternoon. May 25, it will fly to Biarritz, the seaside resort on the French Atlantic coast every Saturday with a CRJ900.

The island of Rijeka in northern Croatia will join Lufthansa's network from Munich. Starting from May 25, a Bombardier CRJ900 will fly from Munich to the Kvarner Gulf region on Saturdays.

Tourists can now also reach Rimini on the Italian Adriatic coast directly from Munich. A CRJ900 will touchdown at the popular holiday destination every Sunday from May 26.

This summer, Lufthansa will fly to 140 destinations in 46 countries from Munich. These include 113 destinations in Germany and Europe.
