Air Peace Launches Service Between Lagos and Kaduna

Nigeria's Air Peace has expanded its operations in northern Nigeria with the launch of flight services between Lagos and Kaduna, the capital city of Kaduna State.

The inaugural flight touched down to a warm reception and water salute by aviation regulators, staff and others at the Kaduna International Airport at about 9.18 a.m on Monday.

The daily service which departs Lagos airport in the morning, will be operated using a 50-seater Embraer 145 aircraft under the airline's subsidiary - Air Peace Hopper.

The launch of the airline’s Lagos-Kaduna service came exactly a week after the carrier started scheduled flights from Lagos, Abuja and Accra to Monrovia the capital of Liberia.

The airline says Northern Nigeria will be one of the beneficiaries of the expansion of its route network. Air Peace had on 12 and 15 February, 2018 respectively, launched daily flights to Kano and Yola both in northern Nigeria.

Air Peace which currently has a fleet of 24 aircraft, is working to expand its operations from its base in Lagos into mini-hubs across all regions of Nigeria and the West Coast of Africa.

Earlier in the year, Air Peace acquired a Boeing 777-200ER and is in the process of commencing international operations to destinations in the UK, USA, UAE, China and South Africa.
