Singapore Airlines has set another industry benchmarks for premium full-service travel with the unveiling of new cabin products which will be introduced on its Airbus A380 fleet.

The new cabin products which will start entering service next month on the first of five new A380s on order, were unveiled in Singapore on Thursday.

Featuring 6 suites with individual bed that is aligned perpendicular to the windows and a reclinable seat, the new first class cabin easily stole the show. Call it 5 star hotel room in the sky, and you would be right.

The first class seat is richly upholstered in full grain leather by Poltrona Frau and is reclinable to 45° and freely swivels. Guests can therefore sit back and recline at ease from takeoff to touchdown.

Travelling with a loved one? The first class also features double suites as the centre divider between rooms makes way for a luxurious double bed. And your world in the sky can only get bigger.

With a 32” touchscreen monitor in high definition paired with noise-cancelling headphones and an enhanced KrisWorld entertainment system that saves your playlists and preferences for future flights, you’ll wish the flight were longer.

In case you want to touch up before you touch down, the first class suite features well-appointed, spacious lavatories that complete your Suites experience. A sit-down vanity counter comes complete with an exquisite range of toiletries such as the EDT, body lotion and facial mist from Lalique.

In the new configuration, Singapore Airlines' A380 will carry up to 471 passengers in four classes including 6 Suites, 78 Business Class seats, 44 Premium Economy Class seats and 343 Economy Class seats.

The new A380 onboard products will debut on the airlines Singapore-Sydney route on 18 December 2017.

In 2007, Singapore Airlines became the first airline to operator the Airbus A380. It currently flies 18 A380s which in present two-version configurations, carry between 409 and 471 passengers.
