RwandAir is planning to commence non-stop flights between Kigali and Mumbai, India, this April using Boeing 737-800NG aircraft according to Airline Route.

At eight hours, the Kigali-Mumbai sector of the 3 weekly service will be one of the longest commercial flights in the world operated by the Boeing 737. With the delivery of two new Airbus A330 wide-body aircraft to RwandAir towards the end of last year, it was widely assumed that the Kigali-Mumbai flights would be operated using one of the aircraft.

In June 2016, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) awarded RwandAir the right to fly to Guangzhou via Mumbai, a move that may make RwandAir eventually deploy the A330 to its Asian services.
