Air France is improving the customer experience and satisfaction of passengers with the launch of new proactive and innovative travel insurance for flight delays with Allianz Travel.
All customers who purchased a ticket on www.airfrance.fr and taken out Allianz Travel insurance, now automatically receive €50 per person when their flight departure is delayed by more than 2 hours. Customers do not have to file claims or provide receipts to receive compensation.
The proactive insurance has been designed to make life easier for customers when waiting for their flight’s departure. By receiving an immediate payment, the customer’s wait at the airport is made more enjoyable, as they can purchase a snack or a gift, for example.
As a result, customers experiencing flight departure delays of more than 2 hours will be able to receive this proactive claim payment quickly and easily.
This new type of claim payment process is totally innovative; this is the first time that proactive insurance is offered for delayed flights in France in partnership with an airline.
The new proactive travel insurance is valid for all flights operated by Air France. Payment can be combined with the financial compensation offered by the airline under European Regulations.
