One of the largest low cost airlines in the world and Europe's leading low-cost carrier, easyJet on Thursday reached a huge milestone in its operational history with the launch of its 1,000th route.
The route - a flight between Manchester in the UK and Bordeaux in France - is one of 16 brand new routes that the airline has put on sale for their Winter 2018 schedule from the UK.
A total of 24 brand new routes went on sale Thursday morning across easyJet’s entire network, providing over 358,200 seats in winter 2018, with over 248,600 being to and from the UK.
Founded in March, 1995, and headquartered in Luton, London, EasyJet has come such a long way since its first ever route from London Luton to Glasgow in 1996.
Now with over 300 aircraft, easyjet flies to 150 airports in 33 countries, providing 90 million passengers a year with low fares on more domestic and international routes than ever before.
