A female passenger on Tuesday, died on board Alaska Airlines flight 478 from Seattle to Kansas City International Airport as a result of a medical emergency, reports fox4kc.
The dead passenger had apparently gone into a cardiac arrest while the flight was cruising. Attempts were made to resuscitate her onbaord, but all the efforts failed.
By the time the flight eventually landed at Kansas City International Airport at 3:50 p.m local time, the woman had already died and was pronounced dead on arrival.
The other passengers who were visibly traumatized on the flight were held on the airplane for about two hours after it landed.
Police are currently investigating to know the cause of the death but said there was no foul play involved. An autopsy will determine the woman's exact cause of death.
