Turkish Airlines has launched a direct flight service to Phuket, one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the world, starting from 17 July, 2017. This is the airlines 300th destination.
The inaugural flight from Istanbul landed at Phuket International Airport (HKT) at 8:55am and was welcomed by the customary water cannon salutes in a formal ceremony.
The new Istanbul-Phuket service will be operated four times per week on Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays using a mix of Boeing 777-300ER and Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
Phuket which is the biggest islands and exotic destination of Thailand. The island is home to many high-end seaside resorts, spas and restaurants.
Headquartered at the Atatürk Airport, Istanbul, Turkish Airlines flies to more countries and international destinations than any other airline in the world. It has a fleet of 333 aircraft.
