Mango Airline CEO Resigns, Joins Another Airline

June 16, 2016

Johannesburg based South African low-cost airline Mango has announced Bezuidenhout's resignation in a joint statement from him and the airline's chairman, Rashid Wally.

Bezuidenhout has also been an acting CEO of South African Airways(SAA) and was reportedly frustrated by the fact that a deal he had agreed to with Emirates was then cancelled at the last minute by SAA chair Dudu Myeni.

The 40-year-old executive was cleared by two forensic investigations, one by Ernst & Young and another by ENS, into the allegations.

Bezuidenhout said, “Whilst it is truly an emotional period for me and an emotional experience to be leaving Mango, I do so comfortably knowing that there’s team of professionals and committed individuals at Mango.”

Bezuidenhout has already accepted a job at British-based African low-cost carrier FastJet. His last day is July 31.
