Virgin Atlantic Resumes Lagos Flights with New Flair

Following the resumption of international flights in Nigeria, Virgin Atlantic has announced that it will resume regular passenger flights between London and Lagos from 10 September, 2020.

The airline’s Marketing and Communications Manager in Nigeria, Promise Ukandu, made this known in a statement issued in Lagos last week.

According to Ukandu, Virgin Nigeria will return to Lagos with its new and ultra-modern Airbus A350-1000 aircraft packed with innovation, thoughtful features, and the unmistakable Virgin Atlantic flair. Read more about Virgin Atlantic’s Airbus A350-1000 here.

From new enhanced social space to extra storage, and the latest entertainment system, there’s so much for passengers on the Lagos-London service to look forward to in all classes.

To ensure the health and safety of customers and crew, Virgin Atlantic is implementing additional measures to offer peace of mind in the airport and when taking to the skies including enhanced and thorough cleaning practices.

The airline will be offering a simplified hot food service in all cabins, redesigned to minimize physical contact between passengers and crew.

Economy and Premium Economy customers will now enjoy a “Fly safe, eat well” meal box, which incorporates a choice of two hot meals, cheese and biscuits, and a dessert pot washed down with a choice of wine, beer, soft drinks, and bottled water.

Upper Class customers will receive a choice of three hot meals, desserts, including cheese & biscuits, and a ciabatta roll, all delivered to their seat on a tray.

Irrespective of the class, all customers will receive a second meal service which, on day flights from the UK, includes the delicious Mile High Tea in collaboration with celebrity pâtissier Eric Lanlard.

Virgin Atlantic had in March, 2020 suspended scheduled passenger flights to Lagos following the closure of the Nigerian airspace due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
