Uganda Airlines Launches New Services to Accra and Kigali

Uganda Airlines is strengthening its position as one of Africa's fastest-growing carriers with the launch of new direct services to Accra, Ghana, and Kigali, Rwanda, further expanding its regional network.

Service to Accra will commence on 27 October 2026 and will be operated four times a week using a Boeing 737-800NG. The route builds on the airline's successful operations to Lagos and further extends its footprint in West Africa.

Accra is one of West Africa's leading commercial, diplomatic and tourism centres, making it a strategic addition to Uganda Airlines' growing network.

The carrier will also launch daily flights to Kigali on 18 November, operated by a Bombardier CRJ-900. The new service will strengthen links between two of East Africa's fastest-growing economies while providing passengers with faster and more convenient travel between Kampala and Kigali, alongside seamless connections through Entebbe.

The expansion is designed to offer passengers more convenient travel options while supporting business, tourism, trade and investment between East and West Africa.

Beyond passenger travel, the new routes are expected to enhance Uganda Airlines' cargo operations by providing exporters and importers with improved access to key markets in East and West Africa.

The addition of Accra and Kigali reflects Uganda Airlines' continued investment in building a stronger African network at a time when demand for intra-African travel continues to grow.
