Turkish Airlines Rolls Out 'Gate to Gate' Internet Service

Aiming to provide a travel experience beyond their expectations, Turkish Airlines has been providing internet service above the clouds ever since 2011. But the airline is now doing more as it strengthens its internet service provided onboard its aircraft.

Turkish Airlines will now provide gate-to-gate inflight connectivity service to passengers. Until now, the service used to be activated only when aircraft were above 10,000 feet.

Now, Turkish Airlines is extending inflight connectivity to be an uninterrupted service that starts right as aircraft doors are closed and continue until they are opened at the destination, making it a Gate to Gate internet service.

Starting from May, the gate-to-gate internet service will be available on 131 aircraft, including 74 narrow-body and 57 wide-body. Turkish Airlines will extend this service to other aircraft that provide internet in its fleet in stages over time.
