Radisson Hotel Group has welcomed the exceptional to Madrid, with the debut of the first Radisson Collection property in Spain’s vibrant capital. This iconic hotel is set to open in 2027, redefining luxury hospitality in Madrid.

The hotel will be located on Alcala Street, one of Madrid’s most prominent avenues in the prestigious Canalejas area, surrounded by renowned luxury brands such as Hermès, Louis Vuitton, and Cartier. 

This heritage-protected classical building will undergo a transformative redevelopment to become a mixed-use masterpiece, combining premium retail spaces on the ground floor with 154 elegant guest rooms and suites spanning across 10 floors and a fantastic rooftop providing breathtaking views over the city.

The property’s unique location provides proximity to Madrid’s cultural and historical treasures, including Puerta del Sol, the Cibeles Fountain, National Museum El Prado, Plaza Mayor and El Retiro Park.

Guests will enjoy a selection of high-end amenities, including a signature restaurant and bar on the first level, LYON Bar, a stunning rooftop bar and restaurant on the 13th floor with sweeping city views, a state-of-the-art fitness and wellness center and a spa. The ground floor will include various stores, providing an exclusive shopping experience.

This project, developed in collaboration with the prestigious Lamela architecture studio, promises to become a benchmark of luxury and sophistication in the Spanish capital. The design will honor the building’s historical architecture while offering the bespoke, renowned Radisson Collection modern luxury.

The Radisson Collection hotel in Madrid will be a defining addition to the Radisson Collection portfolio, combining bespoke design, a vibrant location, and unparalleled luxury. Its strategic positioning in the heart of Madrid’s cultural and commercial hub ensures its place as a premier destination for both international travelers and local patrons. 

Radisson Collection’s portfolio of iconic properties located in unique locations currently consists of nearly 65 hotels in operation and under development. Recent signings include the brand’s entry in Paris (France); the signing of Radisson Collection Residences, Riyadh (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), the brand’s third hotel in KSA, as well as the signing of Radisson Collection Residence, Amman Abdoun (Jordan).

Recent openings include Radisson Collection Hotel, Roma Antica (Italy) and Radisson Collection Hotel & Spa, Riverfront Srinagar, the brand’s first opening in India. Upcoming openings in 2025 include Radisson Collection Hotel, Basilica Budapest (Hungary), Lincoln Casablanca, a Radisson Collection Hotel (Morocco), Radisson Collection National Resort, Brussels (Belgium) and Radisson Collection Lake Como (Italy).
