Tanzania Government Flight Agency (TGFA) has signed a purchase agreement for a DHC OEM Certified Refurbished Dash 8-400 aircraft. This was announced by De Havilland Canada at the just concluded Farnborough Airshow.

“The addition of a De Havilland Canada OEM Certified Refurbished Aircraft to the TGFA fleet provides continuity to the TGFA’s growing national airline program.” said Ryan DeBrusk, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for De Havilland Canada. “We are proud that we will see another Dash 8 aircraft in Tanzania, where the aircraft is ideally suited to support the development of domestic air travel.”

De Havilland Canada’s OEM Certified Refurbishment Program was officially announced at the Farnborough International Airshow earlier today and the purchase of this Dash 8-400 aircraft is an additional endorsement of the aircraft type and of DHC’s commitment to “keep the fleet flying”. As this program ramps up, DHC facilities across Canada will be providing engineering, parts and expertise to meet the growing demand for the Dash 8 aircraft.

With more than 5,000 aircraft delivered, De Havilland Canada is well established across the globe and our talented team of aviation professionals is dedicated to advancing our near-100-year reputation for excellence in innovation, production, and customer support.

Owned by the government of Tanzania, Air Tanzania operates a fleet of 15 aircraft, including one Dash 8-Q300, five Dash 8-Q400, four Airbus A220-300, two Boeing 737 MAX 9, two Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner and one Boeing 767-300F. The airline currently flies to 20 domestic, regional, and international destinations.
