TAAG Angola Airlines Increases Flight Frequency Across Africa

TAAG Angola Airlines has increased the number of services on its main regional routes with the introduction of additional flights to Maputo (Mozambique), Cape Town and Johannesburg (South Africa) and Brazzaville (Republic of Congo).

This decision is aimed at offering greater flexibility, convenience and connectivity to passengers, responding to the growth in demand for these destinations, facilitating connections and leisure or business travel between Southern Africa and Central Africa.

Below is an update on flight frequencies from Luanda:

• Cape Town (CPT): Increased from 9 to 10 weekly flights, with twice-weekly flights on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

• Johannesburg (JNB): Increased from 7 to 9 weekly frequencies, with twice-weekly flights on Thursday and Saturday.

• Maputo (MPM): From 4 June 2025, from 4 to 5 weekly frequencies, with flights on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

• Brazzaville (BZV): Increased from 2 to 3 weekly frequencies, with flights on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with an updated departure time of 22:00 (Luanda local time).

This measure is part of a wider plan to optimise the airline’s network and expand, with a multifaceted impact on sectors such as tourism, local economic development and cultural exchange, positioning TAAG as a benchmark in the civil aviation sector.
