TAAG Angola Airlines Goes Double Daily on Lisbon Route

Due to increase in travel demand, TAAG Angola Airlines has added a new daily service on Luanda-Lisbon route, providing double daily flights and 14 weekly frequencies overall. The new schedule will be effective from 28 March, 2023.

The Luanda-Lisbon connection is one of the most consolidated routes within TAAG's operation.

Portugal is a key destination and the gateway to Europe for several passengers, including tourists, families, and corporate segment from Angola, Africa, and South America.

Simultaneously, Angola is a relevant hub to receive traffic from Portugal or redirect to multiple TAAG destinations in the southern hemisphere.

In 2023, considering January and February, TAAG transported 39,306 passengers on the Luanda-Lisbon route, meaning the company was able to double the figures from the same period last year, where 18,798 passengers were transported.

In 2022 the company registered a 72.3% load factor on the Luanda-Lisbon route a positive achievement regarding the benchmarking within the aviation ecosystem.
