In a bid to position Luanda as a regional hub and facilitate intra-Africa connections, TAAG Angola Airlines will be adding new frequencies to high-demand destinations, including Cape Town (South Africa), São Tomé Island (Island of São Tomé and Príncipe) and Brazzaville (Republic of Congo) from September 2, 2024.
Flights to Cape Town will increase from 7 to 9 weekly frequencies, with double-daily flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and one flight on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
TAAG Angola's flights to São Tome Island will be increased from 2 to 3 weekly frequencies, departing on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The airline will increase Brazzaville flights from 1 to 2 weekly frequencies, departing on Wednesdays and Sundays, day-flight exclusively.
In addition to increasing frequencies, TAAG has also performed a comprehensive
optimization on the network overall, by introducing frequencies/connections
on days not covered before, redefining departure and arrival times to ease connection flights across domestic, regional, and intercontinental links, reducing the time between connections, and mitigate overnight layover.
Overall, TAAG provides passengers with greater connectivity and customer
experience, optimizing the interconnection within the network, including domestic, regional, and intercontinental flights.
