Sports Tourism Gets Recognition at Nigeria Tourism Awards
Ahead of Amazons of Sports Tourism Africa induction, which is planned to honor the contribution of women towards the development of sports tourism in Africa, the convener of Travel Gurls Sport Week and founder of African Sports Tourism Week - Prince Deji Ajomale-McWord - was presented with Special Recognition Award for Sports Tourism at the 5th edition of Nigeria Tourism Awards.
Speaking to our correspondent, Prince Deji expressed his joy in the fact that tourism stakeholders are beginning to reckon with the segment of tourism that delivers footfall like no other, hence the recognition of his efforts.
Amazons of Sports Tourism Africa induction will hold on the 31st of May, 2022. The induction ceremony will be conducted by H.E. Dr. Bobby Moroe - Deputy High Commissioner of South Africa, Desmond Chiji - LaLiga Global Network Delegate to Nigeria & Ghana and Thekiso Rakolojane - Regional Manager of South African Tourism.
Ms. Celine Lafoucriere, Chief of UNICEF Lagos Office will be attending as a special guest.
