Beginning this September, South African Airways plans to add a leased Airbus A330-300 from Hi-Fly. The aircraft will operate for the airline for 5 months, from September 2025 to February 2026.
According to aeroroutes, South African Airways will deploy the leased widebody aircraft on the following routes:
Johannesburg – Lagos: From 17 September 2025 to 10 February 2026
Johannesburg – Accra – Abidjan: From 16 September 2025 to 15 January 2026
Johannesburg – Accra: From 21 September 2025 to 6 February 2026
Johannesburg – Sao Paulo: From 17 November 2025 to 11 February 2026.
It'll be recalled that South African Airways, last week, announced that it would add flights across key routes to meet growing demand during the upcoming festive season. The routes are Johannesburg–Lagos, Johannesburg–Accra, and Johannesburg–São Paulo.
