RwandAir Recommences Passenger Flights to South Africa

After more than 6 months of suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic, RwandAir will be resuming both passenger and cargo services to South Africa from 10 October 2020.
Initially, RwandAir will operate three-weekly service from Kigali to Johannesburg on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays via Lusaka using a two-class Boeing 737-800NG.
Flights to Johannesburg are already open for sale in all GDSs and on www.rwandair.com. For reservations, please email reservations@rwandair.com or call +27 11 289 8050/8080
Before COVID-19, RwandAir also flew to Cape Town in South Africa. However, the airline will be resuming flights to only Johannesburg for now. Cape Town resumption date will be announced later.
Most countries have stringent measures and entry requirements in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19 including having a valid negative COVID-19 PCR test result.
However, RwandAir has put several health and safety measures in place to protect both passengers and staff. To see how the airline is making travel safe for you, please click here.
Currently, RwandAir's post COVID-19 network includes Dubai, London, Brussels, Nairobi, Libreville, Kilimanjaro, Da es Salaam, Douala, Cotonou, Kinshasa, Lagos, Abuja, and Accra.
