RwandAir Expands Fleet with Third Airbus A330 Aircraft

East African carrier, RwandAir, has given its fleet expansion plan a boost with the delivery of its third Airbus A330 aircraft.

The A330-200 with registration number 9XR-WX, touched down at the Kigali International Airport Sunday evening to a water-cannon salute following a delivery flight from Châteauroux, France.

According to RwandAir's CEO, Yvonne Makolo, the new addition will allow the airline purse its route expansion drive while enhancing the inflight experience of passengers.

“We are excited to be expanding our fleet further with the addition of our third long-haul aircraft. Its addition will allow us to continue our route expansion and offer customers even more connections.” Makolo said.

The new A330-200 has a total of 252 seats, including 30 in Business Class and 222 in Economy Class. It will be deployed on the airline’s long-haul routes, including London, Brussels, Lagos, and Dubai.
