There is exciting and cheering news for you. Nigeria’s leading airline Air Peace will resume scheduled flights between Lagos, Nigeria and Accra, Ghana on 15 March, 2021.

The flights will operate daily between the two West African cities. Outbound flights will depart Lagos at 07:00hrs while inbound flights will depart Accra at 07:40hrs. All times are local.

The resumption of flights to Accra is a response to popular demand as the flying public has been anticipating it. It will come as a relief to passengers as they will have more choice on that route.

Until now, passengers flying to Accra from Nigeria had to fly only Africa World Airlines which has been the sole airline operating between Nigeria and Ghana.

The return of Air peace to Ghana will also help to drive down the cost of flight tickets between Nigeria and Ghana which have hitherto been exorbitant.

It will be recalled that Air Peace temporarily suspended scheduled flights to Accra in March, 2020 in the wake of the global COVID-19 pandemic.

The airline has also expressed its readiness to kick off scheduled flights into Ilorin from Abuja and Lagos

Air Peace is currently serving 16 domestic routes, 5 regional routes, and 2 international destinations, including Johannesburg, and has a varied fleet of 26 aircraft comprising the ultra-modern Embraer 195-E2 jet, Boeing 777, Embraer 145, Boeing 737, and Dornier 328 jet.
