Following the emergence of a new COVID-19 variant and travel uncertainties, South African Airways has reassured customers of peace of mind as they don't have to worry about ticket validity.
Customers can book with confidence as South African Airways will offer flexibility in the event of new travel restrictions and a need for customers to revisit their travel plans for this festive period.
The airline already allows one (1) free change on all fare types offered on SAA operated flights subject to fare conditions.
In addition, in the event of new travel restrictions, should a customer no longer wish to travel, SAA encourages that the ticket be exchanged for a credit voucher which will preserve the value of the ticket as well as extend the validity for use to 31 March 2023.
To access the credit voucher application form, passengers can log on to https://www.flysaa.com/za/en/voucherApplication.action.
Alternatively, the booking may be cancelled, and a refund (including taxes) will be offered to the original form of payment.
Assistance will be provided to all ticketed passengers holding a South African Airways ticket via any SAA Call Centre, City Travel Office or Travel Agent with the relevant terms and conditions.
