Oceana Enhances Luxury Indulgence with New Stunning Pools

The spectacular five-star Eastern Cape ‘beach & bush’ property, Oceana Beach & Wildlife Reserve, has added two magnificent new Pool Suites to its offering, making for an even more luxurious boutique escape experience.

Perfectly positioned in a 740ha wildlife sanctuary outside picturesque Port Alfred and fronted by 7km of pristine private beach, Oceana is the ultimate intimate destination for combining spectacular Indian Ocean vistas with remarkable game viewing.

The two new Pool Suites retain all the signature touches that make the property the byword for luxury, while adding a rolling deck with private plunge pool, soothing zen garden and fire pit for cool coastal evenings.

Each Pool Suite looks out onto unsurpassed views of the Reserve and the Indian Ocean

A discreet outdoor shower gives guests the opportunity to relax under the twinkling Eastern Cape stars before retiring to the stylish and well-appointed open-plan bedroom that showcases the best of the magnificent ocean vista.

Warm woods and dark metal accents dominate, and there’s more than a nod to the vibrance of the African bush with signature patterns on the lush fabrics scattered plush seating and on accent décor elements. A huge four-poster bed dominates the room, nestled under romantic chandelier-style lighting.

The stone bath and double indoor shower invite relaxation with views of the surrounding bush. It’s a modern take on a classic lodge theme, with the pitched thatch roof adding warmth and placing the Suites comfortably alongside the property’s other buildings.

Oceana also features seven double Suites with private decks and full bathrooms and the magnificent double-storey Private House, with three en-suite double rooms.

The Pool Suites are perfect for couples, being the ultimate experience for intimacy and tranquility.

On-site attractions include daily safari drives, guided bush walks, luxury spa treatments, exquisite fine dining, a games room, swimming pools and beach activities on the deep, private sandy stretch.

The reserve is home to more than 220 species of bird and 30 animal species - including rare game such as Sable, Bontebok & Black Impala - which can often be seen meandering through the bush or making an excursion onto the beach, from the Suites. It’s the perfect place to cap off an Eastern Cape Big 5 experience nearby, in the lap of luxury, before heading home.
