Mei Ume, at Four Seasons Hotel London at Tower Bridge, sets a new rhythm for the summer season with the introduction of a series of menus that move with the pace of the table and reflect the style and energy of today’s modern diners.

The grazing-style Sushi Counter Experience offers a laid-back approach to fine dining, while the signature Dim Sum Duck Brunch encourages celebration, and occasion meets ease during the Weekend Set Menu.

Set within one of The City’s most visually striking dining rooms, these additions expand the ways to experience Mei Ume’s authentic Japanese and Chinese cuisine alongside the restaurant’s flavour-forward Spirits of the Silk Road cocktail list.

Sushi Counter Experience: For Special and Spontaneous Social Occasions

The Sushi Counter Experience presents a lighter, more informal way to dine, perfect for after-work gatherings and impromptu evenings out. The GBP 48 per person menu showcases six bespoke nigiri, including Seabream with yuzu tobiki caviar; Tuna with golden egg salt; Yellowtail with Kizami wasabi; Toro with daikon oroshi, Aleppo pepper, and salmon foie gras; and Unagi with bubuarare, all elevated by a mini cocktail flight pairing.

Dim Sum Duck Brunch: Where Refined Dishes and Signature Showstoppers Come Together

On Saturdays from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm, the restaurant will offer a Dim Sum Duck Brunch menu priced at GBP 46 per person. At the heart of the experience is Mei Ume’s signature Peking Duck, paired with a selection of classic dim sum and traditional accompaniments.

Guests begin with a Steamed Dim Sum Basket and Duck Bao, followed by a platter of truffle spring rolls and wontons. The duck is served with pancakes, cucumber, shredded leek and a rich sauce.

To finish, Dou Hua, a traditional tofu pudding, is prepared tableside and topped with fresh fruits, azuki (red) beans, grass jelly, longan, lotus seeds, a light osmanthus syrup and playful panda marshmallow. Silky and softly sweet, it offers an authentic close to the meal.

Weekend Set Menu: Fine Dining, Reframed for the Weekend

Finally, Mei Ume has also introduced a new Weekend Set Menu, available on Friday and Saturdays and priced at GBP 98 per person. The menu opens with the choice of Tuna Tartare with Golden Oscietra caviar, bubuarare and avocado; Char Siu Pork Belly with wild honey and a five-spice sauce; or a Dim Sum Selection of mushroom, prawn and chicken dumplings.

Moving onto mains, guests can choose from a succulent Mandarin Beef, Black Pepper Jumbo Prawn with black pepper sauce and curry leaf; or a Spicy Black Bean Aubergine dish; all accompanied by egg fried rice with spring onions. An Iced Mochi Selection rounds off the dining experience.

Spirits of the Silk Road: Reflecting the Flavours of East and West

Each of the new menus, which showcase traditional Chinese and Japanese dishes with a modern approach, are complemented by Mei Ume’s extensive drinks offering. The restaurant’s Spirits of the Silk Road cocktail list revives forgotten flavours and reimagines the ancient encounters that once connected East and West.

Comprising eight distinctive cocktails, each drink captures a dialogue between tradition and innovation, bringing together rare ingredients and exotic fusions in every glass.

The Eastbound selection journeys through Asia with the bright and refreshing Yuzu cocktail and the Timur Berry inspired by the spices of Nepal. Earthy notes are found in the Takamaka Koko Rum-based Pandan cocktail, mixed with Kota pandan, green apple cordial, Tio Pepe sherry and a fig leaf soda, while the Jasmine cocktail offers the delicate floral character with Onikishi cherry blossom whisky, Muyu jasmine verte, Asterley vermouth rose, Rue Berry and Saicho jasmine tea.

The Westbound cocktails draw inspiration from the Levant region and feature the nutty Fig cocktail of Fig Michter’s Rye, hazelnut, Shimeji white port and verjus, and the Sumac, which is fruity and spirit forward with Beluga Noble vodka, Lost Explorer mezcal, Lillet Blanc, pineapple and sea buckthorn. The Saffron cocktail evokes the flavours of Persia and the Aleppo Pepper cocktail has a spicy, bitter and zesty kick.

Wow! Stunning! Hilton seems to be taking Africa by storm. Just a couple of years back, they opened the first ever in Eswatini.

Thank you for sharing such a detailed review about ethiopian airlines in your post. I am an avid traveller and keep reading flight reviews to assess the options available. Your review particularly drew my attention because you have shared so many pictures to capture every aspect of the flight experience. It is a very nice effort.

I also like the fact that you have covered nuances about the food and entertainment service through the pictures. It helps people know what to expect on their travel by this airline.
