Ibom Air is set to expand its network beyond the shores of Nigeria with the launch of its first regional service between Lagos and Accra, Ghana. The airline officially announced this today, 21 September, 2023.

The new service will commence on 17 October, 2023 and will operate daily between Murtala Mohammed International Airport Lagos and Kotoka International Airport, Accra, Ghana.

With a modern fleet, commitment to safety, and unparalleled customer service, Ibom Air has emerged as the preferred choice for Nigerian travellers seeking safety, comfort, reliability, and affordability. The airline aims to replicate its impressive on-time performance on the new regional route.

Over the years, Ibom Air has recorded significant milestones. Earlier in the year, the airline was awarded the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification, another testament to its commitment to the highest safety standards in the industry.

Ibom Air is wholly owned by the Akwa Ibom State Government. The airline’s current fleet includes 5 Bombardier CRJ 900s and 2 Airbus A320s flying to 7 destinations and 9 routes. Ibom Air began commercial operations on 7 June 2019. It carried its 2 millionth passenger on 16 December, 2022.
