The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has reinforced its commitment to workplace inclusion with the presentation of an assistive technology device to Ms Ogechi Uloka, a visually impaired member of staff in the Authority's Human Resources Department.
The presentation took place on 29 July 2026 at the NCAA Regional Office, Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. The device was presented by Mr Ashiru Muhammad Abdulrashid, former Deputy General Manager and Head of the Human Resources Department, Abuja Regional Office, in the presence of representatives from the ICT, Human Resources, Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Airworthiness Standards, Air Transport Regulation, and Aerodrome and Airspace Standards departments.
Speaking at the presentation, Abdulrashid said the initiative reflects the NCAA's commitment to staff welfare, equal opportunity and an inclusive workplace. He noted that every employee should have access to the tools needed to perform at their best, regardless of physical ability.
The Authority also commended Ms Uloka for her resilience, professionalism and dedication, expressing confidence that the assistive technology will further enhance her productivity and support her continued contribution to the organisation.
The initiative underscores the NCAA's commitment to creating a more inclusive workplace by leveraging technology to empower employees with disabilities and enable them to contribute fully to the Authority's mandate.
