The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has formally presented the Aerodrome Certificate for the Akanu Ibiam International Airport (AIIA), Enugu to the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN). The event took place on April 14, 2026, at the NCAA Corporate Headquarters in Abuja,

Speaking at the event, the Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Capt. Chris Najomo, represented by the Director, Aerodrome and Airspace Standards, Alh. Ahmad Abba, mni, described the certification as a significant milestone in Nigeria’s aviation sector.

According to the DGCA, the certification reflects NCAA’s commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and alignment with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Standards and Recommended Practices, especially as the country prepares for ICAO Continuous Monitoring Approach activities.

Capt. Najomo commended FAAN for its cooperation and dedication throughout the five-phased certification process.

In her remarks, the Managing Director of FAAN, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, represented by the Director, Commercial and Business Development, Ms. Adebola Agunbiade, in her remarks, acknowledged the role of the DGCA, the technical teams from NCAA and FAAN, and other stakeholders whose contributions made the achievement possible, assuring that FAAN would sustain compliance with regulatory requirements and continue to improve operational standards across its airports.

Wow! Stunning! Hilton seems to be taking Africa by storm. Just a couple of years back, they opened the first ever in Eswatini.

Thank you for sharing such a detailed review about ethiopian airlines in your post. I am an avid traveller and keep reading flight reviews to assess the options available. Your review particularly drew my attention because you have shared so many pictures to capture every aspect of the flight experience. It is a very nice effort.

I am really tempted to book the next ethiopian airlines ticket and relive your journey. The pictures shared with the post also reflect that you truly enjoyed the travel. Great post! I also like the fact that you have covered nuances about the food and entertainment service through the pictures. It helps people know what to expect on their travel by this airline.
