The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), through its Directorate of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, held a meeting with representatives of domestic carriers - Rano Air, United Nigeria Airlines, and XeJet - on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

The engagement focused on breaches of NCAA Part 19 Regulations, particularly those concerning consumer rights in cases of flight delays, flight cancellations, refunds, care and accommodation, as well as the right to information during the busy yuletide travel season.

Mr. Michael Achimugu, the Director Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, emphasized that airlines are required to comply fully with the provisions of Regulation Part 19 and warned that persistent non-compliance will attract regulatory consequences.
