Najomo Honoured for Advancing Aviation Safety and Robust Oversight

The Director-General of the Civil Aviation (DGCA), Capt. Chris Ona Najomo has been honoured by United Nigeria Airlines for his outstanding leadership, unwavering dedication to the highest standards of aviation safety and oversight, and remarkable contributions to the advancement, regulation, and transformation of Nigeria's civil aviation sector.

The commemorative award was presented during the official unveiling of United Nigeria Airlines' Boeing 737-800NG aircraft, named in honour of Nnaemeka Achebe and Chinua Achebe, in Lagos on 18th June 2026.

The recognition highlights Capt. Najomo's deep commitment to strengthening aviation safety, enhancing regulatory excellence, and driving the continued growth and development of Nigeria's aviation industry.
