The Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Capt. Chris Najomo, has announced approval of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) Staff Conditions of Serviice (CoS), calling on them to show renewed commitment to duty to ensure aviation in Nigeria remain safe, secure, economically-viable and passenger-friendly.
Capt. Najomo made this announcement on Friday, January 2, 2026, during the annual NCAA New Year Prayer Session held at its Lagos Regional Office.
Capt. Najomo thanked the staff for their deep commitment in the outgone year in bringing to fruition NCAA's vision and mission, the five-point agenda of the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr Festus Keyamo and Mr President's Renewed Hope Agenda for the aviation sector.
He highlighted some of the critical issues inherited and expeditiously resolved by this administration, including long-standing debacle of staff stagnation on Grade Level 14; housing and relocation allowance arrears; and commissioning of the abandoned Port Harcourt and Kano Regional Offices.
Others are development of Nigeria Civil Aviation Master Plan (CAMP) in collaboration with ICAO; launching the Consumer Protection portal, and the phase 1 of the DATR e-portal; and the commissioning the Flight Data Centre in Abuja to enhance aviation safety, regulatory compliance, and global credibility in Nigeria; among others.
While praying for an inspiring and prosperous 2026, the DGCA, however, called for the collective spirit of comradeship and unity of purpose often displayed by the management and the staff so that the Authority continues to record more milestone achievements like the preceding year.

Wow! Stunning! Hilton seems to be taking Africa by storm. Just a couple of years back, they opened the first ever in Eswatini.
Wonderful event and topics discussed, hopefully we see the manifestations in our African airline businesses in the nearest future. Kudos to you all.
