Eco-conscious practices, energy efficiency, and community engagement place Mövenpick Ikoyi Lagos among Nigeria’s top sustainable hotels. The hotel, which is part of the Accor portfolio, has achieved the Green Key certification for 2025.


Coordinated by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), Green Key is a globally recognized eco-label presented to tourism establishments that demonstrate outstanding commitment to environmental management and sustainable operations.


This milestone reaffirms the hotel's commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable hospitality and sets a new benchmark for responsible tourism across Nigeria.


Awarded on March 26, 2025, in Ikoyi, Lagos State, this prestigious accolade reflects the hotel’s dedication to “pioneering the art of responsible hospitality”, leading with purpose to drive positive change in the community and beyond by seamlessly integrating environmental stewardship with exceptional service delivery.


Mövenpick Hotel Ikoyi Lagos has woven sustainability into every corner of its operation eliminating single-use plastics across all outlets by 60% and recycling them, deploying food waste monitoring, optimizing energy-efficient lighting, and championing water conservation throughout its operations ensuring that every stay is not just comfortable, but also leaves a lighter footprint on our planet.


By collaborating with global and local partners, the hotel fosters innovation in eco-friendly solutions, offering guests meaningful and sustainable travel experiences while encouraging responsible tourism behaviors.
