LATAM Brazil Set to Relaunch Flights to South Africa

After a three-year absence, LATAM Brazil is set to return to South Africa with a scheduled non-stop service between Sao Paulo and Johannesburg, once more providing a direct link between South America and Southern Africa.

According to Travel News, the three-weekly service will recommence on 4 September, 2023. Sao Paulo-Johannesburg service will will be operated using a three-class Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

Flight LA8058 will depart Sao Paulo at 17h25 on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays, arriving Johannesburg at 08h10 the following day. Flight LA8059 will depart Johannesburg at 12h50 on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, arriving Sao Paulo at 18h55. All times are local.

LATAM Brazil originally commenced flight operations between São Paulo's Guarulhos International Airport and O.R. Tambo International Airport Johannesburg in October, 2016. The route was suspended due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
