ITA Airways has announced its first major addition for the upcoming 2026–2027 winter season: a new seasonal direct flight from Rome Fiumicino to Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic, now available across all the airline’s sales channels.

The new flight to the Dominican Republic marks ITA Airways’ entry into Central America and further strengthens its presence in the Americas. The airline already operates direct flights to the United States, Canada, Brazil, and Argentina—long-standing favourite destinations for Italian outbound travel and key inbound markets with large populations of Italian descent.

Following the increase in frequencies to India and Thailand in August, ITA Airways continues to expand its intercontinental market in the upcoming winter season. This segment remains a key pillar of the Company’s commercial strategy and will be supported in the coming years by the continued growth of its long-haul fleet.

The new route will operate from November 30, 2026, with one weekly frequency on Mondays, increasing to two weekly flights, adding Sundays, from December 14 through the end of March 2027. The service will be operated with an Airbus A330neo aircraft, offering three classes: Business, Premium Economy, and Economy.

Flights to this new destination in the ITA Airways network can be purchased through all ITA Airways sales channels, including the official website ita-airways.com, the Company’s app, the Customer Information Assistance Office, travel agencies, and airport ticket offices.
