The Peter Michael Grape Dinner, taking place on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 7:00 pm, will see guests embark on a four-course gourmet journey perfectly paired with hand-selected Peter Michael vintages.
Guided by Morgan Melkonian, Director of Global Sales at Peter Michael Winery, and priced at AED 950 per person, this one-night-only event promises an elegant exploration of exceptional flavours and craftsmanship.
Hidden behind a discreet passageway and accessible only via a private elevator, The Hideaway becomes the intimate setting for this culinary adventure. The engaging venue captures the essence of a Prohibition-era speakeasy, creating an ambience that is both refined and mysterious, the perfect backdrop for an evening celebrating fine gastronomy and artistry.
Curating the evening is Peter Michael Winery, one of California’s most prestigious estates, founded in 1982 by British entrepreneur Sir Peter Michael. Known for its steep volcanic soils and cooling Pacific breezes, the terroir produces grapes of remarkable depth and character.
The estate is celebrated for its limited-production, single-vineyard vintages, such as Mon Plaisir, La Carrière, and Belle Côte Chardonnays; Ma Danseuse and Le Caprice Pinot Noirs; and the iconic Les Pavots Bordeaux-style blend, all expressing remarkable complexity, structure, and elegance.
Leading the evening’s tasting is Morgan Melkonian, Director of Global Sales at Peter Michael Winery. A Boston University graduate and fine grape connoisseur, Morgan has spent over a decade shaping the winery’s domestic and international presence. Her expertise and passion for storytelling through flavour will guide guests through each pairing, elevating the experience with insight and artistry.
Diners will begin their evening with Prime Tartare on Toast, delicately layered with truffle cream and mustard, paired with Perrier-Jouët Brut, followed by Chilled Maine Lobster complemented by an orange and jasmine beurre blanc, and served alongside Belle Côte Chardonnay 2022.
The experience continues with a Pan-Roasted Duck Breast, enhanced by parsnip and cherry purée and glazed Brussels sprouts, paired with Ma Danseuse 2021 Pinot Noir.
For the main course, diners will savour a Prime Beef Wellington, enriched with chanterelle mushrooms and truffle jus, beautifully matched with Les Pavots 2018 Blend.
To finish on a sweet note, Grand Cru Chocolate, Vanilla and Hazelnut, which comprises a grand cru chocolate mousse dessert, will be served with the Au Paradis 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon, concluding the evening in indulgent style.
