India's largest airline, IndiGo, is expanding it's footprint in Africa with a new service to another African destination. The airline will launch a new nonstop service to Mauritius from Bangaluru with effect from 19 November, 2024.

The new service will be operated four times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The flight will be operated using an Airbus A320 aircraft.

Flight 1861 will depart Bangaluru at 3:20 and arrive Mauritius at 7:45. Flight 1862 will depart Mauritius at 9:30 and arrive Bangaluru at 16:45. All times are local.

When launched, Mauritius will become IndiGo's 123rd overall destination and 35th international destination. Other destination in sub-Saharan Africa served by the airline is Nairobi which it launched in August 2023.

A multicultural melting pot, Mauritius is one of the world's most stunning paradises and an important gateway to East Africa. It is located in the middle of the turquoise Indian Ocean off the coast of Africa, and surrounded by perfect white sandy beaches.

The idyllic tropical island offers a wide range of fantastic experiences from hiking through the jungle to swimming in beautiful and hard-to-find waterfalls, making it a dream holiday destination for tourists from all over the world.
