INAE 2026: Najomo, Two Others Conferred with Fellowships

The Director-General, Civil Aviation (DGCA), Capt. Chris Najomo, has been conferred with the Honorary Fellowship of the Institute of Nigerian Aeronautical Engineers (INAE) in recognition of his outstanding contributions to Nigeria's aviation industry.
Also honoured were the Director of Airworthiness Standards, Engr. Godwin Balang, and the President of the Institute, a renowned Aviation Safety Inspector, Engr. Charles Ebitei, both of the NCAA.
Receiving the award on behalf of the DGCA during the INAE International Conference and Exhibition in Lagos on Tuesday, July 29, 2026, the NCAA Lagos Regional Manager, Barr. (Mrs) Olubukola Teriba, conveyed the DGCA's appreciation to the Institute.
He also commended aeronautical engineers for their staunch commitment to aviation safety.
Capt. Najomo dedicated the fellowship to the management and staff of the NCAA, describing it as a recognition of their professionalism and dedication to advancing aviation safety, security and the sustainable development of the industry.
According to the DGCA, the Authority has remained focused on strengthening regulatory oversight, promoting transparency, driving digital transformation, improving staff welfare and deepening collaboration with industry stakeholders.
The conference attracted key industry stakeholders, including members of the Nigerian Air Force.
