Ahead of the 2023 summer season, FlySafair, the leading South African low-cost airline, will launch scheduled flights to the beautiful island of Zanzibar in Tanzania with effect from 8 April 2023.

This was made known by Kirby Gordon, the airline’s Chief Marketing Officer during an exclusive AviaDev Insight podcast interview with Jon Howell. Listen to the podcast here.

The service will operate twice weekly between OR Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg and Zanzibar’s Abeid Amani Karume International Airport. The flight will be operated using a Boeing 737-800NG. Bookings for flights to Zanzibar are already bookable at www.flysaa.co.za.

AviaDev Insight is the first podcast dedicated to the African aviation industry. It brings prominent industry voices to the table to establish the "ground truth" in an informal and candid fashion.

The podcast was created by Jon Howell, Founder and Managing Director of AviaDev Africa, Africa's premier event dedicated to developing air connectivity. To learn more about AviaDev Africa, click here.
