Ethiopian Unveils Stunning New Lounge at Addis Ababa Airport

Ethiopian Airlines Group, the leading aviation group in Africa, has officially opened its new premium lounge at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport.

The unveiling took place on 16 December during a ceremony that saw the attendance of prominent government officials, the airline’s Board Chairman, board members, executive management, stakeholders, and valued customers.

Spanning 5,500 square meters, this state-of-the-art facility features dining and seating areas, bars, an Ethiopian traditional coffee corner, meeting rooms, a children's area, a beauty lounge, prayer and quiet rooms, a smoking area, luggage room, showers, and much more.

Mr. Mesfin Tasew, CEO of Ethiopian Airlines Group, commented on the opening, stating, “The introduction of this new Premium lounge marks a significant advancement in our journey to enhance the travel experience for our passengers.

With an investment exceeding USD 16 million, the lounge is now the largest at the airport, capable of accommodating up to 1,000 passengers. Its design seamlessly integrates locally inspired elements with modern aesthetics, creating an inviting atmosphere suitable for both business and leisure travelers.

Access to the lounge is available for Platinum and Gold members of the Ethiopian ShebaMiles loyalty program, Star Alliance Gold members, and eligible frequent flyers from partner airlines.
