Ethiopian Airlines Commences New Direct Service to Mauritius

Ethiopian Airlines has inaugurated its new passenger service to Mauritius, marking another milestone in the airline’s continued expansion across Africa.


The new route, which commenced today, 12 July 2026, will be operated three times weekly, enhancing connectivity between Mauritius and Ethiopian Airlines’ extensive global network. A Boeing 787 aircraft operates the service.


The launch of the service underscores Ethiopian Airlines’ commitment to strengthening air transport links within Africa and facilitating seamless travel between the continent and the rest of the world.


By connecting Mauritius to Addis Ababa, the airline’s strategic hub, travelers will benefit from convenient access to destinations across Africa, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas.


Known for its rich cultural heritage, vibrant tourism industry, and growing economy, Mauritius represents a strategic addition to Ethiopian Airlines’ African destinations.


The direct service between Addis Ababa and Mauritius is expected to provide travelers with greater convenience while supporting stronger trade, tourism, and people-to-people relations between the two countries.

Passengers traveling on the new route will enjoy Ethiopian Airlines’ award-winning hospitality, modern fleet, and seamless connections through its hub in Addis Ababa, providing convenient onward travel to destinations across Africa, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas.
