Delta Named No. 1 Airline in North America in Skytrax Survey

Customers selected Delta as the Best Airline in North America for 2021 as part of the Skytrax World Airline Awards. Globally, Delta ranked 30th on the Skytrax top 100 list.

Skytrax evaluated more than 350 airlines based on surveys from more than 13 million respondents in over 100 countries, conducted from September 2019-July 2021. Delta also ranked No. 1 in North America during the last award cycle in 2019, and this year’s global ranking represents a rise from No. 41 in 2019.

Among the other 2021 Skytrax honors won by Delta:

• Best Premium Economy Class Airline Seat

• Best Business Class in North America

• Best Premium Economy Class in North America

• Best Economy Class Airline in North America

• COVID-19 Airline Excellence Award

The COVID-19 Airline Excellence Award recognized 41 airlines globally for “providing the highest health, hygiene and safety protocols during the global pandemic” – a nod to Delta’s commitment to cleanliness through the Delta CareStandard and the Global Cleanliness organization’s development of science-backed cleaning technologies and processes that ensure the health and safety of customers and employees.

The Skytrax accolades come soon after Delta was recognized as the No. 1 airline in customer satisfaction in North America by the J.D. Power 2021 North America Airline Satisfaction Study, a prestigious honor that underscores the professionalism, care, and humanity Delta people delivered during one of the most stressful periods for travel in modern history.
