Delta Expands Service to Caribbean, Latin America and Mexico

Delta will operate its largest-ever holiday schedule to Latin America, offering more than 25,000 daily outbound seats to 44 destinations, with added flying from multiple U.S. hubs.

U.S. customers seeking a warm getaway during the holidays are in luck: Delta is adding seasonal routes from its Atlanta, New York-JFK, Detroit and Minneapolis hubs to several tropical destinations.

With over 20% more seats vs. the 2022 holiday season, Delta’s holiday 2023 Latin America schedule will be the largest in its history, with expanded service across Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. This growth comes as Delta works toward full restoration of its network after operating at 85% overall capacity in 2022, with a key focus on its U.S. hubs. 

New Yorkers can take advantage of more flights bound for the top three Latin American markets from JFK: San Juan, Santo Domingo, and Santiago. With these added routes, Delta will operate over 30 peak-day flights to 19 Latin America destinations from JFK.

From JFK to Cancun, Mexico: 2→3 daily, Nassau, Bahamas: 1→2 daily, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic: 1→2 daily, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic: 3→4 daily, San Juan, Puerto Rico: 3→4 daily, and Santiago, Dominican Republic: 3→4 daily.

Additionally, Delta will reinforce its position as the No. 1 carrier to Latin America from Atlanta and Detroit with added daily frequencies to the following popular destinations.

From Atlanta to Aruba: 1→2 daily, Cancun: 6→7 daily, Liberia, Costa Rica :1→2 daily, San Jose, Costa Rica: 1→2 daily, Montego Bay, Jamaica: 3→4 daily, San Juan, Puerto Rico: 4→5 daily, Mexico City: 4→5 daily, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico: 1→2 daily, Roatan, Honduras: Saturday→daily. From Detroit to Cancun, Mexico: 3→4 daily

All flights are available for sale and will operate seasonally from 16 December through 7 January.

Customers can also travel nonstop to Cozumel, Mexico, with recently added daily service from Atlanta and 3-weekly seasonal service from Minneapolis. Atlanta service restarts on 5 November and Minneapolis returns on 16 December, with both flights operating on an A320 aircraft.
